Frequently asked
Does the app need an internet connection?
No. RoomMode is offline-first. After you install from Google Play, room math, the material library, plans, and reminders run on the device. There is no account and no acoustic cloud backend.
Are RT60 and mode results professional measurements?
They are educational estimates for small-room planning (axial modes, Sabine/Eyring-style RT60). They are not a substitute for a calibrated measurement or a certified acoustic design. Always verify materials, fire ratings, and installation safety.
Why does Android ask for notifications?
Only if you enable hang / re-measure reminders. Those milestones are scheduled locally with WorkManager. We do not send marketing push from a server.
What does the home-screen widget show?
The active room name and estimated RT60, read from local storage on your phone.
How do I contact the account holder?

Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how DIHTIAR_DEVELOPER (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Android application RoomMode Acoustic Lab (package com.narayanxaumary.roommodeacousticlab). It is written for Google Play users and reviewers. Contact: narayanxaumary5@gmail.com.
1. What this app is
RoomMode Acoustic Lab is an offline-first planning tool. You enter room dimensions, assign NRC materials, review axial modes and RT60 estimates, and build a treatment plan. We designed it so acoustic work stays on your device.
2. Information we do not collect
- We do not require an account, email sign-in, or profile.
- We do not operate a cloud backend for rooms, materials, or plans.
- We do not sell personal information, run advertising SDKs, or use analytics trackers in this app.
- We do not request location, contacts, microphone, camera, or storage access beyond what Android uses for ordinary local app data.
3. Information stored on your device
The following stays in local Room database and DataStore preferences on your phone or tablet:
- Room names, notes, length / width / height, and preset keys.
- Material names, categories, NRC values, unit costs, and custom materials you add.
- Surface assignments and coverage percentages.
- Settings: metric vs feet, light / dark / system theme, reminder on/off, and the active room id for the widget.
If you use Android backup (the app allows backup), Google or your device vendor may copy that local app data as part of a system backup you control. We do not receive a separate copy of that backup.
4. Permissions
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — used only for optional weekly hang / re-measure milestone reminders you enable in Settings. Notifications are scheduled locally. You can deny the permission and still use every other feature.
The app does not declare an Internet permission for its acoustic workflow. Installing from Google Play is handled by the Play Store, not by in-app networking.
5. Home-screen widget
The Glance widget titled “Active room RT60” reads only the active room name and estimated RT60 from local storage. It does not transmit that data.
6. Sharing you initiate
If you share a kit summary, Android’s share sheet sends text you explicitly choose to another app you select (mail, notes, messaging). That destination app has its own privacy policy. We do not intercept that share.
7. Children
RoomMode Acoustic Lab is a general-audience studio tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is not directed at children under 13.
8. Data safety summary (Play Console)
- Data collected: none by the developer over a network from this app.
- Data shared with third parties by the app: none, except user-initiated Android shares.
- Security practices: acoustic data is processed on-device.
- Account deletion: not applicable — there is no account.
9. Your choices
- Turn off reminders in Settings, or revoke notification permission in Android system settings.
- Remove the widget from the home screen at any time.
- Clear app storage or uninstall to delete local rooms and materials from that device.

11. Changes
If we change how RoomMode handles information, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update means you have read the revised policy.

By installing or using RoomMode Acoustic Lab on Android, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the app.
Educational estimates
The app provides educational estimates of axial room modes, RT60 (Sabine / Eyring-style), modal smoothness, placement zones, and kit costs. Results are approximations for small-room planning. They are not a substitute for professional acoustic measurement, laboratory NRC tests, or certified design.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for verifying materials, fire ratings, mounting hardware, and installation safety. Kit costs are illustrative unit math based on library prices you may edit. Building codes and workplace rules in your country still apply.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app as distributed on Google Play. You may not reverse engineer the app except where applicable law allows, or misuse the Play listing, trademarks, or this website.

The app is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, including fitness for a particular studio, podcast booth, or listening room. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DIHTIAR_DEVELOPER is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from treatment decisions you make.
